The Madras High Court has recently ordered the attachment of a section of the iconic bungalow once owned by the legendary actor Sivaji Ganesan, nestled in Chennai’s vibrant T. Nagar neighborhood. This decision stems from a financial disagreement involving his grandson, R.G. Dusshyanth, and his wife, Abirami Dusshyanth.
The issue arose from a financial arrangement connected to the production of the film “Jagajaala Killadi,” resulting in a settlement demand of ₹9.39 crore. Despite multiple attempts at mediation, the conflict remained unresolved, prompting the court’s intervention. Following the court order, the Sub-Registrar recorded an entry in the property’s encumbrance certificate, marking 13,310 sq. ft. out of the total 53,240 sq. ft. The petitioner enterprise valued the entire property at ₹88.50 crore and estimated Mr. Ramkumar’s one-fourth share at ₹22.15 crore, deeming it sufficient to recover the dues.
