President meets Chinese investor delegation
A meeting between President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and a senior delegation from China Communications Construction Company Limited (CCCC), led by Zhang Bingnan, was held this afternoon (Aug. 11) at the Presidential Secretariat.
The meeting focused primarily on projects currently being implemented and proposed future projects centred on Colombo Port City.
Senior representatives of CCCC noted that the President’s forward-looking programmes and policies have emerged as a key factor in encouraging foreign investment.
They emphasised that the confidence placed in the Government’s current programme of work has encouraged the company to explore bringing further significant investment opportunities to Sri Lanka.
They also expressed interest in expanding investment opportunities in Sri Lanka in the areas of renewable energy, trade and logistics and digital services. They noted that Sri Lanka has the potential to position itself as a regional hub
