In an unusual turn of events, Bengaluru Police have arrested a thief who constructed a Rs 3 crore house for his girlfriend using stolen money. The thief, identified as Panchakshari Swamy from Solapur, Maharashtra, has a long history of criminal activities spanning several states, including Telangana, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Karnataka.
Swamy, 37, began his criminal activities at the tender age of 15 in 2003. Over the years, he turned professional, amassing significant wealth through house thefts. His extravagant lifestyle included a romantic relationship with a well-known Bollywood actress in 2014-15, during which he lavished her with expensive gifts, including an aquarium worth Rs 22 lakh. However, his luck ran out in 2016 when he was arrested by Gujarat Police and sentenced to six years in prison. After his release in 2024, he resumed his criminal activities in Bengaluru.
On January 9, Swamy committed his latest crime by robbing a house in Bengaluru’s
