‘We want everything that took place at the meeting with the President’

The Bar Association of Sri Lanka has requested the President’s Media Division to provide the complete and unedited video recording of the discussion held with the President on 12 August.

In a letter dated 14 August, the Bar Association pointed out that it had so far received only a portion of the video recording of the discussion.

The letter states that the video received is limited to only part of the opening of the discussion, while the audio in certain sections is also unclear.

Accordingly, the Bar Association has requested the complete video recording, including all comments, interventions, observations and responses made throughout the discussion, as well as the views expressed by representatives of the Bar Association at the conclusion of the meeting.

The Bar Association has also requested the Presidential Secretariat to provide the video recording in the highest possible audio and visual quality.

The letter containing the request was sent to the President’s Office under the signature of Surani Samarasekara, Administrative Secretary of the Bar Association.
