Passport services disrupted due to system breakdown

The issuance of passports was disrupted this morning (Aug. 11) due to a sudden failure of the Department of Immigration and Emigration’s computer system.

Controller General of Immigration and Emigration – Chaminda Pathiraja said measures are being taken to restore the system as soon as possible.
