CTU calls for action over Gr. 5 scholarship exam incident in Kegalle
The Ceylon Teachers’ Union (CTU) has called for immediate action over an incident where the 2026 Grade 5 Scholarship Examination paper was reportedly handed to students late at a school in Kegalle.
Speaking at a media briefing, Ceylon Teachers’ Union President Priyantha Fernando pointed out that authorities should pay attention to the injustice caused to students by such incidents and take appropriate measures.
The CTU also pointed out that the allowances provided to teachers engaged in duties related to this year’s G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination is inadequate.
