Senaka Pallethenna appointed new Prisons Media Spokesperson

Mr Senaka Pallethenna has been appointed as the new Media Spokesperson of the Department of Prisons.

The appointment is effective from today (09).

He has previously served as the Superintendent of Mahara Prison and as the Director of Training.

Mr Pallethenna is an alumnus of Richmond College, Galle. He has also completed a diploma course in the study of drug abuse at the University of Colombo.

He has further completed a diploma course in rehabilitation and correctional management in Kerala, India. He has also followed several diploma courses on drug abuse in countries including India, Thailand, Malaysia, the Maldives and Türkiye.
