Universities face risk of closure

Deputy Minister of Education and Higher Education Madhura Seneviratne has stated that if clusters of dengue cases are reported within universities, steps will be taken to close the affected institutions based on the advice of the health authorities.

He further stated that the University of the Visual and Performing Arts, Colombo, which was closed following the reporting of dengue cases, is expected to reopen on the 13th, subject to the recommendations of the health authorities.
