‘Aswesuma’ elderly allowance to be credited today

The monthly allowance for elderly beneficiaries aged over 70 years under the ‘Aswesuma’ Welfare Programme will be credited to their respective bank accounts today (July 03), the Welfare Benefits Board (WBB) said.

Accordingly, in the first phase, payments will be credited to the accounts of 621,761 eligible elderly beneficiaries, amounting to Rs. 3,108,805,000.

In the second phase, a further payment of Rs. 380,695,000 will be credited to the bank accounts of 76,139 eligible elderly beneficiaries under the Aswesuma programme.
