Arrested Mr. Kottu owner, released on bail

Businessman Viraj Wickramanayake, who was arrested in connection with an incident of allegedly assaulting and injuring an employee, has been granted bail.

The suspect was taken into custody by the Maharagama Police and was subsequently produced before the Gangodawila Magistrate’s Court.

The magistrate ordered to release him on two personal bails of Rs. 500,000 each.

The matter in question has been referred to a mediation board.
