Bus fares to be upped from July 01

The National Transport Commission (NTC) has said that bus fares will be increased from July 01 in line with the annual bus fare revision.

NTC Chairman, Engineer P.A. Chandrapala, has said the necessary preparations for the revision are currently underway.

He has added that the percentage of the fare increase will be announced after taking into account the fuel price revision for the month of July.
