2 nabbed with ‘ICE’ on Southern Expressway

Two suspects have been arrested while transporting 2 kg and 554 mg of Crystal Methamphetamine (“ICE”) in a motor vehicle.

The arrest was made by officers at the Aparekka Interchange on the Southern Expressway as the suspects were attempting to enter the expressway towards Colombo.

Police said the suspects, aged 28 and 32, are residents of the Borella area.

The vehicle used to transport the narcotics has been handed over to the Thihagoda Police.

Further investigations are underway.
