Imbul tree falls on three-wheeler as Police take suspect to court (Pics)

An Imbul tree by the roadside fell onto a three-wheeler while Police were transporting a suspect arrested by the Mattala Police to the Hambantota Magistrate’s Court, Police said.

The incident occurred in the Wewagama area of Sooriyawewa.

The three-wheeler was damaged when the tree fell on it.

Police said the three-wheeler was carrying a suspect arrested on charges of possessing cannabis, a Police Constable who was driving the vehicle, another Police Constable and a Civil Security Department officer.

None of those travelling in the three-wheeler was injured when the tree fell, Police said.
