3 including Rakhitha and Charith, remanded further
Former Justice Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe’s son – Rakitha Rajapakshe, former Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Horana organiser – Charith Abeysinghe and former Executive Director of Airport and Aviation Services Sri Lanka Limited – Aruna Sri Warushahennadige, have been further remanded until July 28 by the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court.
The three suspects were recently arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) and were remanded until today (July 17) after being produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court.They were arrested in connection with allegations of accepting a bribe of Rs. 120 million to facilitate the transfer of organised crime suspect Nadun Chinthaka alias ‘Harak Kata’ from his place of detention to a regular prison.
