Ex-NLB Chairperson Shyamila Perera arrested

The former Chairperson of the National Lotteries Board (NLB), Shyamila Perera was arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) today (June 30).

CIABOC said the arrest relates to allegations that Shyamila Perera had assigned three officers recruited to the NLB to work in the office of then-Minister Ravi Karunanayake instead of deploying them within the NLB.
