Poson zone in Colombo inaugurated

The Sri Lanka Scout Association has organised the 2026 National Scout Poson Zone, which was inaugurated yesterday (June 28) in Colombo under the patronage of Prime Minister – Dr. Harini Amarasuriya.

Organised for the first time under the theme “Poson to Colombo too”, the event was conducted with the coordination of the Presidential Secretariat and the contribution of the State and private sectors.

Religious observances were held under the guidance of the Chief Incumbent of the Hunupitiya Gangaramaya Temple – Ven. Dr. Kirinde Assaji Nayaka Thera.

Following the reception of the ceremonial casket containing the inauguration document of the Poson Zone, the Prime Minister officially declared the Poson Zone open.
