Six Tamil and Muslim parties to hold secret talks in Colombo tomorrow
Six major political parties representing the Tamil and Muslim communities in Sri Lanka have reportedly convened a special meeting in Colombo tomorrow (13) to discuss common objectives and the current political situation.
According to an official media statement issued by the office of Tamil Progressive Alliance (TPA) leader and Member of Parliament Mano Ganesan, arrangements have been made to hold the crucial talks at 1.00 p.m. tomorrow at the Renuka Hotel in Colombo.
The All Ceylon Makkal Congress (ACMC – Rishad Bathiudeen faction), Ceylon Workers’ Congress (CWC – Jeevan Thondaman faction), Democratic Tamil National Alliance (DTNA), Ilankai Tamil Arasu Kadchi (ITAK – Sivagnanam Shritharan faction), Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC – Rauff Hakeem faction) and the Tamil Progressive Alliance (TPA – Mano Ganesan faction) are scheduled to come together for talks.
